The onset of summer brings with it the promise of long and lazy days by the beach, outdoor dinners and ombré sunsets. Like fashion trends, jewellery trends are seasonal too. Of course, there are timeless pieces that are mostly cultural or contemporary in design and evergreen in nature.

The falling temperatures in winter have us grabbing those layers. While most of our bodies are covered, a stunning diamond earring or a bold statement ring can add the frost to compliment the weather. Summer is reserved for colourful creative expression and bold styles. Birds and butterfly motifs, bright hues and floral designs that mimic the spirit of the season.

Harry Winston – Promise Earrings from the Winston with Love Collection

Van Cleef & Arpels - Frivole® collection

Hong Kong based jewellery line Boochier, released their new line influenced by the nostalgia of care-free childhood days. One of their first items on display is a whimsical ring, encrusted with pink diamonds to represent a ‘slinkee.’ Designed to bring joy, the dazzling coiled rings not only invoke a sense of innocence and nostalgia but also preserve that memory in the form of blue, pink and white diamonds, 18K yellow gold with 1.90 carats. All pieces are handmade with love and as a result might differ slightly in colour, shape and size.
